December 1 -
Cross Registration opens
December 10 -
Last day Cross Registration requests accepted (no
exceptions)
Beginning Tuesday, December 1, all MBA students can request
cross-registration in courses at other GSM campuses under these
guidelines:
- There
must be a space available in the course.
- The
course fee structure for
Davis and
Sacramento
is different than for the Bay Area. If you take a
course in either Davis or Sacramento, we will credit your
student account with the $762 Course Fee Differential for each course. Under the
Davis and Sacramento fee structure, textpaks are included.
Textbooks, parking, meals, refreshments and other
costs are not included.
- Once cross registration is open, the on-line payment
system will automatically deduct the $762 Course
Differential Fee from your total payment amount at the
time of payment. You will not have to wait for a
refund.
- The $762 credit will be posted to your account
approximately the third week of the quarter.
- If you receive a billing notification prior to the
third
week of the quarter for $762, you can ignore it.
- If you paid the full amount for a Bay Area course
and are changing to a cross registration course, a
refund will processed during the third week of the
quarter.
- Beginning December 1:
- Cross
Registration requests must come through the
GSM
Payment System. Do not email the GSM
Registrar directly. The payment system will notify
the GSM Registrar.
- Do
NOT make a cross registration request prior to the
opening of cross registration. The course fee
differential will NOT be deducted from your payment if
you pay prior to the opening of the cross registration
process.
- If
you are paying for an additional course for cross
registration, access the
GSM Payment System to pay for the additional course.
The number of courses requested needs to be the total number for the quarter. (i.e. If
you have already paid for 2 courses, put 3 in the number
of courses.) Once you have paid for the course, an
email will be automatically generated by the payment
system to the GSM Registrar with your cross registration
information.
-
- If we
receive more requests than there are spaces available,
spaces are allocated based on your total completed
units (units in progress are not counted). Students
with the most completed units will be enrolled first and
so on.
-
If you do not make your cross registration request
on the first day of cross registration, it will not
be possible to allow students with high unit totals
to have priority.
- Beginning
Tuesday, December 8:
- Once it has been verified that space is available in the
course requested and that you have paid for the course, you
will be registered and your registration status will be
confirmed via e-mail by the GSM Registrar.
- Drop
deadlines for Day and Sacramento courses are different and you
need to refer to the Sacramento Academic Calendar
to make sure you are aware of the deadlines. The
Sacramento drop deadlines
apply to the Day courses.
- Thursday,
December 10:
- Last day to pay for cross registration courses.
- Last day cross registration requests accepted. Because
of the number of departments involved in Cross Registration,
it is not possible to process late cross registration
requests. The only exception to this deadline is
MBA Consulting Center Projects. However, you must be
paid within 5 days of being notified you are on a team or
you will incur the $250 late registration penalty fee.
MBA CONSULTING CENTER PROJECT COURSE FEE
Bay Area students pay for
MBA Consulting Center
Projects using Cross Registration. Do not pay for the
course until cross registration has opened or you will be
overcharged. Students enrolling in a Consulting
Center Project course will have the $723 Course Differential
Fee deducted from their course fee at the time of payment (once cross
registration opens). This fee adjustment is
done manually and takes place usually about the third week of
the quarter. You will be notified via email when it has
been processed.
If you are notified you are on a consulting center
project after May 28, you will be allowed to pay without
incurring the $250 late registration penalty fee. You must
pay within 5 days of being notified you are on a project or
you will be charged the late fee.
