Bay Area Working Professional MBA Cross-Registration Instructions
Summer 2008
Beginning Wednesday, June 4, all MBA students can request cross-registration in courses at other GSM campuses under these guidelines:

  • There must be a space available in the course.

  • The course fee structure for Sacramento is different than for the Bay Area.  If you take a course in Sacramento, we will credit your student account with the $690 Course Fee Differential for each course.  Under the Sacramento fee structure, textpaks are included.  Textbooks, parking, meals, refreshments and other costs are not included.
    • The $690 credit will not be posted to your account until approximately the fourth week of the quarter.
    • Textbooks can be purchased through the UCDMC bookstore.

  • To pay for courses through cross-registration, you should print a new registration form and include only the number of courses you will take through cross-registration.  In other words, don’t include the courses you are taking at your home campus.  For each course you plan to take from the Davis or Sacramento schedule, deduct $690 from the Total Fees Submitted amount ($690 for one course, $1,380 for two courses, etc.)

  • Beginning Wednesday, June 4, email the GSM Registrar,   with your UCD ID, the campus, course number, course name, and course registration number (CRN).  E-mail requests received prior to Monday, June 2, will not qualify as a Cross Registration Request and will be deleted.
    • If we receive more requests than there are spaces available, we will allocate spaces based on your total completed units (units in progress are not counted).  Students with the most completed units will be enrolled first and so on.
      • If you do not make your cross registration request on the first day of cross registration, it will not be possible to allow students with high unit totals to have priority.

  • As soon as the GSM Registrar has verified that space is available and that you have paid for the course, you will be registered in the course and your registration status will be confirmed via e-mail beginning Monday, June 9.
    • Course drop deadlines are different and you need to refer to the Academic Calendar for the Sacramento Program to make sure you are aware of this drop deadline.
      • It is your responsibility to be familiar with the appropriate deadlines if you request registration outside your home location.

  • Sacramento Course Logistics: Textpaks are included in the Sacramento fee.  Textpak information for Sacramento.

Textbooks, meals and parking are not included and you must purchase them separately.
