Scan Card Sort
The SkillScan Card Sort is a skills assessment tool designed to help you
identify and categorize your transferable skills. The card sort can help
to identify and label skill competencies (skills critical to job performance)
and skill preferences (skills that capitalize on personal strengths). It can
also help you develop a Personal Skill Profile of preferred skills grouped
into areas of marketability. Finally, SkillScan can identify a variety of
skill sets to expand the range of career opportunities and record skill needs
for future training and development. Please meet with our career counselor to
take this assessment.
Career Values & Motivated Skills Card Sorts
Career Values Card Sort - A simple card sort tool that will allow you to
prioritize your values in just a few minutes. 41 variables of work
satisfaction - such as time freedom, precision work and power are listed
and described.
Motivated Skills Card Sort- A quick and easy way to identify the
motivated skills that are central to personal and career satisfaction
and success. Based on experience, feedback and instinct, cards are used
to assess your proficiency and motivation in 48 transferable skills
areas. Our career counselor can walk you through this card sort
exercises.
Reviewing Assessment Results through Counseling
True Self-Assessment is not complete until you have thoroughly reviewed
the results. Regardless of the assessment tool(s) you choose to use, it
is highly recommended that you schedule an appointment with the GSM's
career counselor to discuss the results and how to pursue the next steps
in your career management plan.
