Class E-mail Lists
Class
e-mail lists include everyone enrolled in the course & the professor.
Class e-mail lists are created 2-3 weeks prior to the beginning of each
quarter. Students enrolled in the class are considered subscribers to the
list. Subscribers are added according to the Registrar's enrollment
and will be updated daily at 8 am.
Please
be advised:
Only those enrolled in the class and the instructor may send emails to the
list. The UC Davis e-mail system recognizes official UC Davis
addresses only. If you are having your email redirected to another
email address and you try to reply or send to the list from that email
account, your email will bounce back as not being authorized to send to the
list. Our Policy is we do not add secondary email addresses to class
mailing lists.
If you
add the class late and are concerned with emails sent to the class before
you enrolled, you will be able to view the secure archive of the class
mailing list on the GSM course page viewable in SmartSite. Click on
Resources > Secure Email Archive. You should be able to view all the
messages sent to the class mailing list. If you receive an error,
then no messages have been sent to the list and therefore no archive
exists.
