Sacramento Working Professional MBA
Cross-Registration Instructions
Summer 2008 |
 |
Beginning Wednesday, June 4, all MBA students can request
cross-registration in courses at other GSM campuses under these
guidelines:
- There
must be a space available in the course
- If you
would like to take a course in the
Bay Area (San Ramon),
there is an additional $690
Course
Differential Fee that you must pay at least three
working days before requesting Cross Registration in a Bay
Area course. This fee covers textbooks, textpaks, meals,
refreshments, parking, and other costs for each course in
the Bay Area Program. You can have your books sent directly
to you using our new
online textbook form. Simply fill out
the form completely and submit it. Please be aware that all
cross registration enrollment must be confirmed by the GSM
Registrar prior to you receiving your textbooks. You will
need to allow 5 to 7
business days to receive your
books from the time you submit the form. If you have questions or
concerns please contact
Caroll Sandifor,
San Ramon Program Coordinator.
- Beginning
Wednesday, June 4, email the GSM Registrar,
with your UCD ID, the campus, course number, course name,
and course registration number (CRN). E-mail requests
received prior to Monday, June 2, will not qualify as a
Cross Registration Request and will be deleted.
- It is
strongly recommended if you are interested in a Bay Area
course that you pay as soon as cross enrollment opens so
you can be added to the course and receive course
materials (textbooks and textpaks) prior to the
beginning of the quarter.
- If we
receive more requests than there are spaces available,
we will allocate spaces based on the date your request
is received and your total completed
units (units in progress are not counted). Students
with the most completed units will be enrolled first and
so on.
If you do not submit your cross registration request
on the first day of cross registration, it will not
be possible to give students with high unit totals
priority.
- As soon
as the GSM Registrar has verified that space is available
and that you have paid for the course (including the Course
Differential Fee), you will be registered and your
registration status will be confirmed via e-mail beginning
Monday, June 9.
- Drop
deadlines for Bay Area courses are different and you
need to refer to the
Academic Calendar for the Bay Area Program to make
sure you are aware of this drop deadline.
- Drop
deadlines for day courses are the same as the Sacramento
program drop deadlines.
- It is
your responsibility to be familiar with the appropriate
deadlines if you request registration outside your home
location.
-
Bay Area Course Logistics: DO NOT PURCHASE COURSE
MATERIALS. The
GSM will provide textbooks and textpaks as part of the
Course Differential Fee. You should not purchase
these separately and cannot be reimbursed by the GSM if you
do so. If you have any questions, please contact
.
