The Graduate School of Management believes that in addition to a rigorous
core curriculum, an essential part of your MBA experience includes further
leadership development.
The GSM provides two Leadership Skills Workshops per year at each of our
Working Professional Campuses. These workshops occur on a Sunday afternoon,
typically during winter and spring quarters (one per quarter at each working
professional location). By providing two workshops at each location, a
working professional student could choose to participate in a total of four
leadership development workshops per year (albeit at alternative locations).
The Leadership Skills Workshop topics may include a rotation of the
following topics:
- Coaching for Excellence (San Ramon 2009)
- Leading and Facilitating a Team (Sacramento 2009)
- Leader As Communicator
- Emotional Intelligence
- The Art of Self Promotion
- Time Management & Organization
- Ethics and Integrity
- Values Based Leadership
